Gynecology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the female reproductive organs, including the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and breasts. This includes routine care such as Pap smears, contraception management, and treatment of conditions like endometriosis, fibroids, and sexually transmitted infections. OB-GYN specialists often perform surgeries, such as cesarean sections and hysterectomies, and provide care throughout a woman's reproductive life, from adolescence through menopause.
